The VCP50k is a 50 km ultramarathon held in Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx, NY on Saturday, May 2, 2026. Registration opens January 1, 2026. The listed entry fee is $125. Race packet pickup is held on the day of the race, and registered participants receive full event information about a week before the race.

Course and logistics

The course uses the historic Tortoise and Hare cross country layout: an initial lap of the flats followed by ten loops of the classic cross country course. The route includes rocks and roots, though they are not plentiful. Overall elevation gain for the race is about 2,200 ft. A staffed aid station provides water, Gatorade, salty and sweet snacks, and fruit. Drop bags with personal items, hydration, or nutrition are accessible within 1.5 miles at the furthest point.
