The VCP 50K is an ultramarathon held at Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx, New York on 01 May 2027. The event was founded in 2023 and is organized as a 50K trail race starting from 6087 Broadway, Bronx, NY 10471.
The course begins with an initial lap over the flats, then continues with ten loops of the classic cross country course. Terrain includes rocks and roots but they are not plentiful. Overall elevation gain is about 2200 ft.
Aid stations are fully stocked with water, Gatorade, salty and sweet snacks, fruits and more. Drop bags are accessible to runners, with the furthest access point no more than 1.5 miles away.
Finisher amenities include a custom medal, a limited edition singlet, a hot meal and a cold beer. Overall winners receive a trophy and cash.
