UTAH 115 - About the race
UTAH 115 is a multi-distance ultra event in southern Utah. The race spans three distances and is scheduled for 14 - 16 May 2027. Cutoff times are 50 hours for 115 miles, 20 hours for 50 miles, and 13 hours for 50 km non-stop.
The course crosses high desert terrain with red-rock canyons, sweeping plateaus and long stretches of deep, shifting sand. Runners can expect sections that require both running and hiking through remote desert landscapes. The route traverses areas historically used by early settlers and by Navajo and Paiute tribes.
The start and finish are located in Kanab. In May Kanab typically has an average daily high near 78 F and an average low near 44 F, low rainfall before the summer monsoon season, and about 14 hours of daylight with sunrise around 6:30 am and sunset around 8:30 pm. The town sits on the high desert of the Colorado Plateau and averages about 256 days of sunshine per year.
UTAH 115 is sanctioned by USATF. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
