UTAH 115 by Grand to Grand Ultra
UTAH 115 is a multi-distance ultramarathon held in mid May 2027 in Kanab, Utah. The event offers the following distances:
- 115 miles
- 50 miles
- 50 km
All courses are out-and-back and start and finish in Kanab at an elevation of about 4,970 feet (1,515 meters). Cutoff times are 50 hours for the 115-mile race, 20 hours for the 50-mile race, and 13 hours for the 50 km.
The route traverses high desert terrain including hard-packed and soft sand, sand dunes, the Coral Pink Sand Dunes on the 115-mile course, forest trails, red rock climbs, rocky and double-track roads, canyons, mesas and plateaus. Wildlife and plant life noted along the course include bighorn sheep, mule deer, jackrabbits, coyotes, prairie dogs, bobcats, vultures, cacti and desert flowers such as Indian paintbrush.
Aid stations aim to provide water, electrolyte drinks, soda, hot drinks at night, daytime snacks and more substantial hot food at night, plus breakfast items on later mornings. Shared sleeping aid stations will offer pads and blankets with a maximum sleep time of three hours. Cell service may be unavailable at some locations.
Registration opens June 20, 2026. Early registration discounts are available with codes SEB20 and EB15 by stated deadlines. Entry fees vary by distance and registration date. Finishers receive event-branded items and awards including buckles for 115-mile finishers and medals for 50-mile and 50 km finishers.
