High Desert Ultra in Southern Utah

Utah 115 is a trail running event held in the high desert of the Colorado Plateau. The course utilizes the remote landscapes of southern Utah, featuring terrain such as red-rock canyons, plateaus, and sections of deep sand. The event is sanctioned by the USATF and takes place in the wilderness areas surrounding Kanab.

The competition offers three distinct non-stop distances:

  • 115 miles
  • 50 miles
  • 50 km

Participants must complete their chosen distance within specific time limits. The 115 miles race has a cutoff of 50 hours, the 50 miles race has a cutoff of 20 hours, and the 50 km event must be finished within 13 hours. Aid stations are provided along the route, and there are specific rules regarding mandatory equipment, crewing, and pacing.
