Grand Circle Trailfest overview
Grand Circle Trailfest is a three day trail running festival in southern Utah based at Jacob Hamblin Park in Kanab, UT. The event stages three timed trail races through Bryce Canyon, Zion, and Antelope Canyon on Navajo Nation land and includes festival access, camping options, and daily meals.
Each race provides aid stations about halfway with water, electrolyte drink, gels, fresh fruit, and a mix of salty and sweet items. The festival operates a cup free policy so runners should carry a reusable bottle, collapsible cup, or hydration pack. Daily shuttles run between the festival headquarters and race areas; additional parking lot shuttles accommodate runners and spectators.
Camping options include tent sites, RV and van spots for a fee, on site showers, flush and compost toilets, and a communal pavilion for meals and activities. Meal tickets are issued at check in for buffet dinners and grab and go breakfasts. Afternoon and evening programming typically includes yoga, speaker talks, live music, cultural performances, and a beer garden that uses ticket purchases.
Awards are presented nightly at Trailfest headquarters with overall cumulative awards on the final day. Live race results and event photos are hosted online after the races. The festival also provides packing and training guidance specific to back to back trail running in early fall conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
