Urban Environmental Challenge 10k
The Urban Environmental Challenge 10k takes place on Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Van Cortlandt Park, Bronx, NY (Tortoise and Hare Statue at 251st and Broadway). The event is held on park trails and is described as a rugged, technical trail race. The 10k is for runners only. All registered participants receive a race souvenir. A portion of race fees supports the Van Cortlandt Park Alliance for trail maintenance and youth programs.

- Kids Fun Run
The 10k is open to ages 14 to 99. The Kids Fun Run has no entry fee. Pre-registration and race-day registration fees are listed by the organizers; a portion of fees is allocated to park programs. Prizes for the 10k include cake for the male and female winners and muffins for second, third, and age-group winners, provided by a sponsor.
Public transport options include the 1 Train to the end of the line at 242nd Street with about a 500 yard walk to the start, or the Metro-North Hudson Line to Marble Hill, which stops at 225 Street and is about a 1.5 mile jog to the start. Free parking is available at the Van Cortlandt Golf Clubhouse and along Broadway. Information is subject to change at the organizers' discretion.
