The Tri-Valley Front Runners Upton Trail Race is scheduled for Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Upton State Forest, Upton, MA. The event offers two distance options:

  • 21K (half marathon - 2 laps)
  • 10.5K

There is a cap of 250 total participants for both distances combined. Online pre-registration is required and closes on 11/7/25. Pre-registration entry fee is $30; participants over 70 enter free. An organized preview run is scheduled for Sunday, October 19, 2025.

Course and logistics

The course uses technical, hilly single-track trails and forest roads. Each lap is approximately 6.5 miles with about 720 ft of elevation gain; the half marathon is two laps. Two aid stations are on course, located near the Dean Pond turn and the Park Rd/Loop Rd intersection (about every 3 miles). Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course.

The park entrance is at Westboro St and Southboro Rd (near 205 Westboro Rd). Parking is available onsite. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited in the park. Early bib pickup is scheduled for Saturday, November 8 at Rushford & Sons Brewhouse, 8 Grove St, Upton, MA. Net proceeds are donated to Friends of the Upton State Forest, the Milford Food Pantry, and other local charities.
