Uplawmoor Festival of Running

The Uplawmoor Festival of Running is scheduled for 16 May 2026 and features a single 9k loop on B roads around the Halket area. The route runs anti-clockwise and includes a variety of terrain and gradients: an immediate climb of about 200 ft up to 2 km, a 1 km descent, undulating terrain around 3 to 4 km, a longer hill between 4 and 5 km, a gentle incline from 5 to 6 km, and a predominantly fast downhill final 3 km to the finish.

Prizes include trophies for first male and female finishers and awards for second and third places in both male and female categories. The event is organised as a charity fundraiser with net proceeds donated to Scottish Action for Mental Health.

Participants take part at their own risk. A first aider will be available on site. Runners must supply their own water and fluids. Registration takes place in the tennis club clubhouse next to Mure Hall. Entry information notes a total field size of 150 places and an entry fee of £10 for entries processed by 16 May 2026.

The event uses local B roads for the entire route and is supported by a local fitness group and volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
