Up on the Downs is a trail running event organised by Tri-Counties Trail Running on 1 March 2026. Runners can choose from the following distances:
- 5k
- 10k (measures about 11.5 km)
- Half marathon
A finisher's medal is awarded for participants. A separate Canicross class is offered in the 5k with 1st, 2nd and 3rd trophies. Entry prices range from £18 to £32 depending on the chosen race. Age minimums apply: 17+ for the half marathon, 15+ for the 10k, and 11+ for the 5k and 5k Canicross.
Course and location
The event starts and finishes at Breamore House, Fordingbridge SP6 2DF. Routes run mainly on trails and country paths. The 10k and half marathon use a route that is about 95% trail and pass over farmland, footpaths and bridleways. The courses include some hills and offer rural views of the surrounding countryside.
