Race for Life Pretty Muddy Southampton

The Pretty Muddy 5k in Southampton is an obstacle event on Saturday 20 June 2026 held at The Common, The Avenue, Southampton SO15 7NN. The route starts on the main area of The Common opposite the playground, follows tree-lined paths, continues along Cemetery Road and returns to finish on the grass area of The Common in sight of the start line. The start line is located on the main flat tarmac path through The Common.

Participants must be 13 years of age or older. Waves start every 15 minutes; groups should book the same wave. The course includes muddy obstacles that require participants to climb, crawl and slide. Marshals are available on course to assist and participants may skip obstacles if needed.

Travel options note that there is no parking at The Common and city centre car parks or public transport are recommended. Drop-off points include Hill Lane, Northlands Road and The Avenue. Blue badge parking is available via the steward on Cemetery Road. There are no electric charging points, no cycling storage, and volunteers have specific parking arrangements on Cemetery Road.

Facilities on site include refreshments and toilets. The event is not suitable for wheelchair users or pushchairs, and dogs are not permitted. Accessibility provisions include Sunflower wristbands, trained Event Managers and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content. The minimum fundraising target is £50.
