  • Level 1: 7-Mile Course (one full loop)

Course Description

The route begins at the resort base, climbing wooded ski-runs and service roads. It includes single-track trails, double-track snow-cat paths, and ridge trails with views of Deep Creek Lake. The summit provides panoramic mountain vistas before descending through rock-strode corridors and ski-trail connectors back to Wisp Resort. The course is extremely well marked.

Event Format

This is not a race but a timed event open to walkers and runners. The starting line is open for a morning window, and a post-trek party follows later in the day.

Finisher Perks

All finishers receive a custom t-shirt and a velcro patch. Those completing the 21-mile or 28-mile courses also qualify for the UltraTrax Grey Wolf medal. Participants can opt to wear a weighted vest (10, 20, or 35 pounds) for additional finisher swag.

Logistics

Bib pickup is available via mail or on the event morning. For registrations after April 1, 2026, bibs must be picked up in person. Complimentary parking is provided onsite. After the event, there is a party with cold drinks, food, and music.
