Gore Mountain - UltraTrax, July 19, 2026
UltraTrax at Gore Mountain is a single day endurance walk held near North Creek, NY. Participants choose how many 7 mile loops to complete to reach one of four distances and must finish within ten hours to earn a finisher patch. Options include carrying a weighted vest or ruck with 10, 20, or 35 pounds.
The course follows wooded slopes and ridge lines, with creek side paths, rooty forest sections, and open ski trail stretches that provide Adirondack views. The standard loop is 7 miles with about 1,785 feet of elevation gain. The route is almost entirely shaded and returns to the base area after ridge descent.
Support and logistics include professionally timed miles, clearly marked trails, aid stations roughly every 2.5 to 3 miles offering water, electrolytes and snacks, and toilets at regular intervals. Event gear and commemorative items are provided, including a finisher shirt, patch, and a Grey Wolf medal for higher level finishers. A portion of registration proceeds supports the Conservation Lands Foundation.
Nearby lodging includes Garnet Hill Lodge, located about a 20 minute drive from Gore Mountain trailheads. Volunteers receive discounted registration and exclusive merchandise. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
