Gore Mountain - UltraTrax
UltraTrax at Gore Mountain on July 19, 2026 in North Creek, NY is a single day endurance walk that lets participants choose how far to go. Distances are completed as repeated loops on a course that gains elevation and returns to the base area.
Participants may choose to carry weight in a vest or ruck or go unweighted. Options for added weight include 10, 20, or 35 pounds. All official finishes must be completed within a 10 hour window to earn event recognition and selected medals.
The route is a forest-to-summit trek along wooded slopes and broad ridge lines. The course is described as almost entirely shaded and includes creek-side paths, rooty woods, rocky brook sections, singletrack, fire roads, and open ski-trail stretches with Adirondack views. One loop measures 7 miles and the full course elevation gain per loop is 1,785 ft.
Support on course includes clearly marked trails, volunteers at key intersections, professionally timed results, aid stations roughly every 2.5 to 3 miles with water, electrolytes, snacks and toilets, plus professional photography. Each participant receives a trail pack with a commemorative patch and finisher shirt; the Grey Wolf medal is awarded for completing higher levels. A portion of registration proceeds supports the Conservation Lands Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
