Churney Gurney 5 Mile Trail Race

The Churney Gurney 5 Mile Trail Race is the 11th annual running event on the Gurney Lane Trails in Queensbury, New York. The course covers five miles of single track with a variety of ups and downs and runs through Gurney Lane Park near the pavilion.

All proceeds from the race support the Under the Woods Foundation, which provides programs for children with Autism. The event includes chip timed results with gun start and a finish area located just below the pavilion. There are overall awards for male and female finishers and age group awards in 10 year categories.

A post race celebration will follow with food, snacks, refreshments, music, and an awards ceremony. Racers receive free admission to the pool and the park playground is available for children. There is ample parking in and around Gurney Lane Park. Online registration carries a fee of $25.00 and the first 75 registered entrants receive a T shirt. A five‑race 5K trail series at Camp Saratoga across summer Mondays, capped at 375 entries for the series. Individual races or a full series package are available and proceeds benefit the Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park.
