The Ultra Race Of Champions takes place on Saturday November 7, 2026 at Sherando Lake Recreation Area in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, USA. The event offers multiple trail distances that start and finish at the Sherando Lake Recreation Area.
- 40 miles with a 12 hour time limit.
- 20 miles with a 6 hour time limit.
- 10 miles with a 3 hour time limit.
The course follows trails along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Elevation on the course ranges between about 3,700 feet and 1,500 feet. Most of the route is on dirt surfaces, including single track and jeep roads, with only minimal pavement inside Sherando Lake Recreation Area needed to reach the trails.
Packet pickup and race-day logistics are handled at the Sherando Lake Recreation Area. Lodging and directions information is provided by the organizer. All registered runners receive a technical shirt at registration and all finishers receive a finisher award. A military and service discount is available by inquiry to the organizer.
