The Gower Peninsula Ultra Challenge takes place on 18-19 July 2026 in the Gower Peninsula, South Wales. The event basecamp is in the grounds of Penrice Castle. Options at basecamp include weekend camping, transfers, and parking. The full 100 km route is a figure-of-eight made up of western and eastern loops that start and finish at Penrice. The organiser offers a Solo Challenger start option, an Ultra March category for timed walkers, and a Trailblazerz category for faster competitive runners.

Support and logistics

The route is fully signed and supported with GPS tracking via a Challenge App. Rest stops are provided approximately every 12.5 km, with major stops about every 25 km; catering includes snacks and drinks at shorter intervals and meals at larger stops. Medical, podiatry, and massage teams are available at rest stops and via a 24-hour control room. All finishers receive a medal, a finisher T-shirt, and a finishers meal including a hot food option. Trail runs nearby

Run forest trails at Margam Country Park on 15 November 2025, choosing from 21 km, 10 km or 5 km routes. Fully marked courses with checkpoints and GPS files; entries include parking, timing, a medal and free photos.
