Two Prairies Ultra

This is a 50K and 30K trail running event with no registration fee. It takes place in the Ocala National Forest, starting at the Pat's Island Trailhead near Fort McCoy, Florida. Participation is capped at 50 runners due to limited parking and the wilderness environment of the course.

The course uses the Florida Trail. It consists of two out-and-back runs. First, participants run south 8.8 miles to Juniper Springs Recreation Area (17.6 miles round trip) and return to the start point. Then, they run north 7.25 miles (14.5 miles round trip). The 30K route covers only the south half of this course.

The area features Juniper and Hopkins Prairies in the Juniper Wilderness. The environment includes abundant wildlife and rare plants. Carpooling is encouraged. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
