Two Prairies Ultra
Two Prairies Ultra is scheduled for March 13, 2027 in Fort McCoy, FL. The event is organized by Combat Racing Events and uses the Pat's Island Trailhead in the Ocala National Forest near Salt Springs. Participation is free and limited to 50 runners because of restricted parking and the wilderness setting.

The 50K course is composed of two out and back segments. Runners first go south 8.8 miles to Juniper Springs Recreation Area and return to the start for a 17.6 mile roundtrip, then run north 7.25 miles and return for a 14.5 mile roundtrip. The 30K route covers only the south half of the course. The route follows sections of the Florida Trail through the Juniper Wilderness and passes Juniper and Hopkins Prairies, areas noted for wildlife, rare plants, and historical features.
Registration opens December 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM ET. There is no registration fee, and the event typically maintains a waitlist when capacity is reached. UltraSignup allows withdrawal up to seven days before the event without a DNS. Runners who record two DNS results at free Combat Racing events may become ineligible for future free events; exceptions may be made at the race director's discretion.
Directions to the trailhead from SR40 and SR19: drive north 5.9 miles on SR19, turn left onto Forest Road 46, then continue 2.2 miles on the dirt road to the trailhead on the right.
Support the Florida Trail is encouraged; a suggested minimum donation per participant is $25 to help maintain the trail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
