Two Islands Half Marathon

The Two Islands Half Marathon is a scenic running event taking place on the Isle of Berneray and North Uist. Celebrating its 14th year, this friendly half marathon features a gently undulating route that offers stunning sea views throughout. The race begins near the Gatliff Trust Hostel and concludes at the Lochmaddy Hotel, the event's sponsor.

Designed to be exclusive and intimate, the marathon is scheduled for late August, after most other island races. Participants can register online, with entry fees set at £13 for UKA members and £15 for non-members. The route has been officially measured by Scottish Athletics.
