Two Islands Half Marathon
This half marathon takes place in the Outer Hebrides. It is the 16th edition of the event. The date is Saturday, 29 August 2026.
The course connects two islands. It starts on the Isle of Berneray near the Berneray Gatliff Trust Hostel. It crosses a causeway to North Uist and finishes at the Lochmaddy Hotel in Lochmaddy. The hotel sponsors the event and provides lunch at the finish.
The route is rural and mostly on single-track surfaced roads. It is described as gently undulating with sea views for virtually the entire way. The route and 21.1 km (13.1 mi) distance have been officially measured by Scottish Athletics.
