Two Islands Half Marathon

Two Islands Half Marathon

The Two Islands Half Marathon is a friendly, scenic half marathon in the Outer Hebrides, scheduled for 29 August 2026. The event is organised by North Uist Amateur Athletics Club and is deliberately timed late in the season.

The route starts on the Isle of Berneray near the Gatliff Trust Hostel, crosses a causeway to North Uist, and finishes in Lochmaddy at the Lochmaddy Hotel, which sponsors the event and provides lunch at the finish. The course is officially measured by Scottish Athletics.

The route is rural and gently undulating, with sea views for virtually the whole way. Most of the course follows surfaced single track roads and typically carries very little traffic. The event is relatively small and remains limited in size because of its island location.

Entry details on the event listing show entries open from 5 January 2026 to 14 August 2026, with entry fees listed for UKA members and non members. The event listing also provides terms and conditions and a cancellation and refund policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
