Berneray 10K Run/Walk

The Berneray 10K Road & Cross-Country Race takes place on the Isle of Berneray in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, as part of the annual Berneray Week festivities. This friendly and intimate race features a scenic circular course starting and finishing at Berneray Community Hall. Runners experience stunning views across the Minch and the island chain towards Lewis and Harris.

The route combines single-track tarmac roads, gravel, grass tracks, and a unique stretch over a sandy beach exposed at low tide. The mostly flat course includes two gentle hills and passes around Loch Bhrusda and the Berneray machair. Trophies and medals are awarded, with refreshments provided post-race.

A multi terrain half marathon on the Isle of Benbecula that can be run solo or as a pair. The route crosses machair and beaches including Liniclate, Stinky Bay and Culla Bay and includes uneven ground with rabbit burrows.

A scenic half marathon from Berneray to Lochmaddy with sea views for almost the entire route, mainly on surfaced single track roads. Organised by North Uist Amateur Athletics Club, the finish is at the Lochmaddy Hotel where lunch is provide..
