Twisted Trail 5K, 10K, 15K and Free 1 Mile

This event takes place on Friday, November 27, 2026, at Ken-O-Sha in Grand Rapids, Michigan, using trails along Plaster Creek. The start and finish and packet pickup are located at Calvary Baptist Church, 1200 28th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49508. Packet pickup occurs on Friday morning.

Distances offered

  • 5K - one lap of the trail loop
  • 10K - two laps of the same loop
  • 15K - three laps of the same loop
  • Free 1 Mile - open to all participants

All distances, including the mile, start together. The event uses shared start and finish timing mats.

Age groups for the 5K, 10K and 15K are: 9 and under; 10-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70 and over. The top finisher in each age group receives an award, and the overall top finisher also receives an award.

The trail is a single-track mountain bike trail with wooden bridges. Because the route is narrow, using a stroller is difficult and conditions with snow will make pushing harder. Bringing dogs is not recommended due to trail width.

A route map and a short video preview are provided by the organizer. T-shirts are included with registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
