The Don McMaster Memorial 12 Mile Creek Trail Half Marathon & 7k

This is the 38th annual Don McMaster Memorial 12 Mile Creek Trail event held at 2 Lockhart Drive, St. Catharines, Ontario. The event is held in support of the Niagara Rankin Cancer Run.

The half marathon follows a historic route that includes the first Welland Canal and the 12 Mile Creek Trail. The initial leg uses the Merritt Trail toward downtown St. Catharines, then continues to trails behind Brock University. The course includes Hydro Hill and a descent of the Niagara escarpment to the finish.

The half marathon field is limited to 175 runners and has sold out for the last two years. A walker division uses the same route as the running division and begins before the running division. The 7 km race covers the latter part of the half marathon, incorporates Hydro Hill, and is limited to 100 runners; it sold out quickly last year.
