A second fully stocked aid station is located roughly six miles from the start, with a shaded area nearby. The route continues about 5.5 miles to the Village of Middleport, where a third aid station and the turn-around point are located. Aid stations are staffed by volunteers and provide a range of drinks and foods, including Heed, water, coffee, Coke, gels, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken broth, pizza, pancakes, donuts and other items.
For 100 mile participants, the event offers a "Double Beast Buckle" for those who complete both the Winter Beast 100 and the Summer Beast 100 in the same calendar year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
