The Tussey Mountainback is an annual running event held in and around Rothrock State Forest near Boalsburg, PA. The event described is the 26th edition and offers multiple solo and team distances over a course composed of gravel roads, forest service roads, and rolling hills. There are no trails on the course; all turns and mile markers are signed and course maps are provided at check-in.
The event uses marked transition zones and aid stations. Hydration is available at each aid station and restrooms are provided at the Start/Finish area and at aid stations. Course guidelines require runners to run on the left and drivers to keep to the right, exercise caution on open roads, and follow specific parking and check-in procedures at transition zones. Designated spectator viewing areas are defined at several parks and the Start/Finish area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
