The Oktoberfest 5K Run Trail Race at Boal City Brewing is scheduled for October 2026 in Boalsburg, PA. This is the third annual running of the event. Two event options are listed:

  • Mini Monster Trail Loop - .04 less than 1/2 mile
  • 5k Trail Run - 5 kilometers

Entry prices are shown for each event. All participants aged 21 and older receive a brew. Awards are given after the race, with first, second and third overall places for males and females and age group awards for the top three in each division. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards. Overall awards are based on gun time; age group awards are based on chip time. The first-place male and female overall winners have their names engraved on a trophy that will be kept at Boal City Brewery.

Course and logistics

The race begins out back at Boal City Brewing and follows marked trails. The route leaves the brewery along the gravel driveway of the Boal Estate Mansion, passes beneath oak and maple trees and by Columbus Chapel. The course moves through recently cut farm fields, the Stan Yoder Preserve natural area and Blue Spring Park, both managed by the Center Region Park and Recreation. The course is not flat and includes several hills. Parking is available at Boal City Brewery; roads remain open to traffic, and participants and pedestrians are advised to take care when crossing streets.
