Course and race services
The course runs on the Possum Kingdom Hike & Bike Trail Phase I and II, starting and finishing at the South D&D East Trailhead. Surface is dirt single track with rocky and rooty sections. The 5K loop shows about a 350-foot elevation change. Terrain includes sandy flats, rocky climbs, limestone outcroppings, and scenic overlooks. Historic average temperatures are in the 42-68 degree range.
The race is cupless; participants should bring their own cup or bottle. Support includes aid station hydration and snacks, course marking and volunteers, on-course photography, and event gear: a Turkey Trek beanie and finisher medal for all finishers. Awards include 1st–3rd place male and female, an Old Timer 1st place (age 50+) for each gender, and a DFL award. A 2.5-hour course cutoff applies.
