  • 4 Mile
  • 2 Mile

Course, logistics and rules

All courses run on 100% dirt trails, from wide paths to single track, with leaves, rocks, roots, twists and hills. The event uses cupless racing; one reusable Hydrapak cup is included in registration and participants must carry their own hydration or cup to refill at aid stations. Registration benefits include a choice of a long sleeve event shirt or an event beanie, finish-line snacks and water, chip timing, and age-group and overall awards. A portion of registration proceeds supports Stony Creek Metropark trail maintenance and charity partner OPC Meals on Wheels. There is a 3.0 hour time limit for all distances; half marathon participants must meet the stated halfway cutoff or be routed to the finish. No strollers or dogs are allowed on course. Early packet pickup is scheduled for November 25 at Hanson’s Running Shop in Utica. Volunteer opportunities are available for Thursday and Friday. Park daily passes apply on most days; no fee will be charged on Thanksgiving Day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
