Trails & Tarmac Backyard Ultra is held near Crickhowell in the Black Mountains, Powys. The course uses 4.2-mile loops of mixed trail and tarmac, with one gentle climb and a short steep section for a fast, runnable feel. The event follows an endless BYU format: each loop must be completed within one hour; the last competitor to finish a loop is declared the winner, while those finishing before 32 miles are recorded as DNF.
