Trail Blazer Run - East Bradford Township
The Trail Blazer Run takes place on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at the CCWA Paradise Farm Camps property (1300 Valley Creek Road, Downingtown, PA 19335). The event is an annual Township recreation event held on the grounds of Paradise Farm Camps.
There are three event distances:
- 5 Mile Run
- 5K Run
- 1.5 Mile Family Fun Walk/Run
Established in 2012 and held at Paradise Farm Camps since 2013, the event typically draws more than 300 participants, about 50 volunteers, and multiple community sponsors. The 5K distance was added in 2024. One hundred percent of event proceeds go to East Bradford Township's public trail program.
Funds support tools, equipment, and materials used by the Township's volunteer corps to maintain over 19 miles of trails across 24 properties totaling more than 1,000 acres. Proceeds also contribute to planning and development of new trails, including the planned extension of the East Branch Brandywine Trail and a Plum Run Trail under development at Plum Run Preserve. Some frequently used Township trails include Harmony Hill Nature Area, Shaw's Bridge Park, and Sugar's Bridge Nature Area.
The main 5 mile course routes participants through woodlands, open fields, and meadows. The 1.5 mile event is intended for families, younger children, and walkers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
