Tower to Castle ULTRA 30

The Tower to Castle ULTRA 30 is a point to point ultra run of 30 miles along the coastal way from Blackpool Tower to Lancaster Castle. The course includes a short ferry crossing from Fleetwood to Knott End provided with limited group capacity for the crossing.

Entry is by pre-registration only, entries are not available on the day. The event is restricted to participants aged 18 or over. The entry fee is £60 and entries close on 20 September 2026. Full route information and a GPX file are supplied to participants shortly before the event.

Support and event services include chip timing, a fully marked route, medals and finishers hoodies, and well stocked aid stations with three checkpoints offering water, cordial and supplementary snacks. Return transport to the start is available for a fee of £7 for runners only. The maximum permitted completion time is eight hours.

Participants must pass a kit check and carry mandatory items including a waterproof coat with sealed seams, a long sleeved base layer, a water bottle or bladder with at least 1 litre capacity, a fully charged mobile phone, a foil blanket and a whistle. A 36 mile point-to-point ultra from Clitheroe Castle to Lancaster Castle with chip timing, live tracking, six checkpoints and mandatory kit. Pre-registration only, age 18+, entry fee £65 and a 10 hour maximum time limit.

Tackle the rugged Bowland slopes at the Hapton Fell Race, a challenging 5 miles with about 400 m of climb near Burnley. Day of entry makes it ideal for last minute plans and friendly club rivalry.

A 5 km Pretty Muddy obstacle course through Sefton Park in Liverpool on mixed gravel and grass, with obstacles to climb, crawl and slide. Entry includes a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign and a finishers medal.

Tackle the Hameldon Quarry Race on 28 July 2026 in Hapton, Burnley, a lively 6.5 km trail with about 400 m of climb through Bowland terrain. Day entry only, low fees and team categories make it ideal for a spontaneous challenge.
