Tour de Trails : Rockford series

The Tour de Trails is a series of four winter trail races in the Rockford, Illinois area running from December 20, 2025 to March 21, 2026. Each race takes place at a different forest preserve or state park and runs on natural trail terrain that may include ice, snow, and very cold conditions.

Packet pickup is available on the sites on race days. The 9 mile and 12 mile races offer an early start option for runners who maintain a pace of 13 minutes per mile or slower; pace verification is required at registration. A series entry option and a no‑swag series option are offered.

Awards include certificates for first place female and male and for five year age groups. Personalized awards for places one through three will be mailed after the event. Events are subject to cancellation by park or health authorities; there are no refunds for cancelled races. Proceeds support activities of the Rockford Road Runners.
