Fall into Fall Trail 5k

The Fall into Fall Trail events take place on October 3, 2026 at Rock River Heritage County Park in Janesville, Wisconsin (5801 N River Road, 53545). The events use natural dirt trails through wooded areas and provide scenic views of the park terrain.

Distances offered:

  • 5K trail run or walk, timed event.
  • 2.4 miles guided non-timed walk on the Perimeter Trail.

The 5K is a timed event and chip timing is provided by Velocity Events Management. The guided 2.4 mile walk is non-timed and follows the Perimeter Trail. Registration for the 5K opens February 9, 2026 and closes August 31, 2026; the guided walk registration opens February 9, 2026 and closes on the day of the event. Fees are listed as $20.00. Participants registered by September 15 are guaranteed a shirt.

A Fall Into Fall Heritage celebration is scheduled at the park the same day and includes a band, food trucks, beer and wine tasting, raffles, and additional activities. Dogs are not allowed on the course; well-behaved dogs are permitted elsewhere in the park on a six foot leash and owners are required to clean up after them. Trail 5K and a children's 1/4 mile at Kishwauketoe Nature Center in Williams Bay. The grass trail course passes through hills, woods and prairie, includes a water stop, parking across the street, and awards for top finishers.

The Casual Hikers 10K will take place in La Grange on Saturday 1 August 2026. You can run 10 kilometers.

Alternating one hour legs of 4.2 miles between Belleville Community Park and Dot's Tavern form a last person standing race. The weekend also features 24 hour and 48 hour races on the same loop with distance buckles and prize pots.

Echo 136 in Whitewater, WI is a 136 mile ultramarathon on the Ice Age State Trail with a 55 hour cutoff and ten staffed aid stations. The course records about 11,148 ft gain and 10,961 ft loss.
