Frontline OCR is an obstacle course event produced by the Frontline OCR Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. The event honors military personnel, veterans, and first responders by staging purpose-built obstacles that reflect physical and mental demands associated with frontline service.

The event offers multiple race formats and waves. Distances and options include:

  • 6.2 Miles events labeled as 10K
  • 10K Open waves
  • 5K Open course
  • 1 Miles Kid's Course

Key division details: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

  • Special Forces Elite requires mandatory obstacle completion while wearing provided body armor for podium eligibility; obstacles allow unlimited attempts; participants who abandon an obstacle must surrender their vest; finishers who retain their vest keep it.
  • Endurance requires mandatory completion of obstacles over a minimum of two 10K laps for podium eligibility.
  • Heroes waves are reserved for first responders, active military, veterans, retirees, and qualifying spouses; verification may be requested; one Heroes wave is competitive and one is non-competitive.
  • Open Division waves run multiple times and operate without judges or penalties; obstacles and terrain are the same as competitive waves.
  • Ruck Division requires participants to bring a ruck and weight, recommends 30 lb for men and 20 lb for women, and mandates carries and crawls with the ruck; finishing with the weighted ruck earns a Ruck Division patch plus medal and shirt.
  • Kid's Course is for ages 5 to 13 and uses a scaled course with obstacles suited to younger participants. Team entry packs (five and ten packs) are sold to provide registration codes for multiple entries to 5K, 10K Open, or Ruck divisions.
