The Last Meadow : Fox Badge

The Last Meadow is a Backyard Ultra-style endurance race held on September 12, 2026, in Dixon, Illinois. Runners complete a GPS-verified loop of 4.167 miles (6.7 km) on the Rock River Parkway bike path. The route is an out-and-back from the Dixon Park District dog park staging area, on paved and compacted surfaces with flat to gently rolling terrain.

The format follows the Last Man Standing rules. At the top of each hour runners must start and finish the loop within 60 minutes. Any runner who does not complete a loop within the hour is recorded as DNF. The event continues until only one runner completes a loop that no other runner finishes; that runner is declared the winner and the recorded distance equals the number of laps completed.

Event services include an aid station at the start/finish and a designated crew zone for between-loop assistance. Drop bags are permitted at the start/finish area and may be accessed between loops only. Outside assistance on course results in disqualification.

Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at the Dixon Park District building. The event is organized by Lifted Nation Institute, a faith-based nonprofit. Entry is limited to 150 runners with an entry fee of $100. A headlamp is required after dark and other recommended items include running shoes suitable for paved paths, hydration, spare clothing, and recovery supplies.
