The course consists of loops starting behind the Dixon Park District Facility. Each loop is approximately 7.85 miles. The required number of loops for each distance is: 2 loops for the 25K, 4 loops for the 50k, 8 loops for the 100k, and 13 loops for the 100 mile/103 mile distance.

The Course

The terrain is a blend of singletrack, grassy meadows, and gravel paths. The course does not include water crossings or mountains. The total elevation gain for the 100-mile distance is roughly 6200 feet. The trail is maintained but includes natural features like tree roots, small stumps, rocks, and uneven ground.

Aid and Support

There are two aid stations: the Start/Finish area and a water-only station at approximately mile 3.7. The Start/Finish aid station provides water, snacks, and hot food options through the night, including pizza on Saturday evening. Participants may bring their own specific food and hydration.

Crew access is allowed at both aid stations. Pacers are permitted after the first lap for all distances and can join or leave at either station. Personal canopies are allowed on a first-come, first-served basis; setup begins at 5:00 AM on Saturday.

Awards and Rules

All finishers in the 25k, 50k, and 100k distances receive a medal. Finishers of the 100-mile distance receive a buckle. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in all distances. To be eligible for a top finisher award, a runner must start at the assigned start time for their event.

The event takes place on Dixon Park District property, which remains open to the public. All participants and their crews must follow park rules and be courteous to other visitors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
