Event

The Tiree 10k & Half Marathon is an annual road race on the Hebridean island of Tiree. The event began in 2006 and is held on Saturday 2 May 2026. Visiting runners and local residents take part; past participants have travelled from countries including Slovakia, Spain, Brazil, Canada, Germany and Australia. An evening dance is held at An Talla, the community hall at Crossapol, and there is an evening prizegiving.

Race details and logistics

  • 10 km - one lap on the East end course.
  • Half Marathon (13.1 miles) - two laps of the East end course.

Both races start at Gott Bay. Sign-in and race number collection take place at The Lodge Hotel. Podium prizes, age-group prizes, team prizes and some spot prizes are presented in the evening.

Entries and policies

Entry prices listed are £30 for the Tiree 10k and £40 for the Tiree Half Marathon. A service fee of 4% (minimum 50p) applies to each sign-up. All entry fees are non-refundable and there will be no refunds after entry. The organiser recommends taking event insurance. There is a linked Tri-Island Challenge for combined results with Mull and Coll, offering a special medal and a combined-time award. Status: closed.
