The Tiree Ultramarathon is a scenic 35-mile race around the Isle of Tiree, located in the Hebrides, Scotland. The island is known for its white sandy beaches, rugged coastline, and unspoiled landscapes. The course follows the island’s circumference, starting and finishing at Gott Bay, and features varied terrain including firm sandy beaches, gravel tracks, grassy dunes, sheep tracks, bogs, and rocky outcrops, with minimal hills.
Participants navigate between checkpoints with guidance from route arrows and event staff. The event welcomes solo runners and relay teams of 2 or 4, offering a tech t-shirt, medal, goodie bag, and a festive prize-giving ceilidh.
