Event overview
The Tinsel Trot is a holiday running event held on December 13 at Southern Revere Cellars, 1100 E Jack Jouett Rd., Louisa, VA. The event includes the following distances:

- 10k
Points from the races count toward the 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series and the Sippin’ Series. A virtual race option is available. Registered runners receive a chip timed event, a technical (drifit) event shirt, and one glass of wine or beer from Southern Revere Cellars. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before December 3.
Course, services and logistics
The course is a cross country loop around the winery property. The 5k is two laps and the 10k is four laps; there are no major hills but an elevation map is available. Water stations: three on the 5k (approx. miles 1, 1.55, 2.1) and seven on the 10k (approx. miles 1, 1.55, 2.55, 3.1, 4.1, 4.65, 5.65). Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are inside the winery.
Live results are posted on Athlinks and via a race-day QR code; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second place in standard age groups (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+). The event supports Serenity Farm; the farm’s mission is to prevent and rehabilitate neglected or abused equines and to provide equine interaction and education.
