Timberview Trail Run - Lory State Park (June 26th, 2027)
The Timberview Trail Run is a trail running event held at Lory State Park near Fort Collins, Colorado. The 2027 edition is the 8th annual running of the event. The course runs through foothill trails among treetops with views of Horsetooth Reservoir, Fort Collins and the surrounding foothills.
Three race distances are offered:
- 10 mile
- 5 mile
- 5K
The 10 mile course is a double loop of the 5 mile course. The 5K route is described as an easier introduction to trail running. The 5 mile course uses more technical trails and includes greater elevation gain. All race distances pass the same aid stations; water, fuel and electrolyte drink are provided in 100% biodegradable cups. Aid stations also include dog water bowls.
The event is USATF sanctioned and listed as a 100% plant based event. Post-race offerings include event shirts, finisher medals, race bibs, free event photos, post-race food and drinks, and professional chip timing. On-site provisions noted in event information include pancakes and a craft beer presence at the finish area.
Parking at Lory State Park can be limited; volunteers assist with parking and the west side of Lodgepole Rd is restricted for parking. Bib pickup is scheduled the day before at Runners Roost Fort Collins and on race morning at the start area; bibs may include parking passes when selected.
