Timberview Trail Run

The Timberview Trail Run is a trail running event at Lory State Park in Bellvue, Colorado. The event offers three measured race distances on marked trail routes with scenic views of Horsetooth Reservoir, Fort Collins and the foothills. 2026 is the 7th annual running of the event.

Distances:

  • 10 mile double loop of the 5 mile course.
  • 5 mile single loop with more technical trail sections and greater elevation gain.
  • 5K easier intro trail route suitable for younger participants and beginners.

All courses pass the same aid stations where cups of water, fuel and electrolyte drink are available; the cups are 100 percent biodegradable. Aid stations will also provide dog water bowls. The routes may be adjusted for weather and published wet weather alternate courses are available. The organizer marks courses, stations volunteers and notes that athletes are responsible for knowing course layouts.

Event services listed for every registered athlete include an event shirt, finisher medal, race bib, free event photos, post race food and drinks, and professional chip timing. Parking at the venue can be limited; a parking pass may be required and participants are asked not to park on the west side of Lodgepole Rd. The event is USATF sanctioned and promoted as a 100 percent plant based event. Vendors and volunteers are planned on site and pancakes will be served.
