  • 10 mile
  • 5 mile
  • 5K

The course runs on foothill dirt trails among treetops with views of Horsetooth Reservoir, Fort Collins and the foothills. The 10 mile is a double loop of the 5 mile course.

Course details, services and logistics

The 5K is described as an easier intro to trail running and is noted as beginner friendly for children. The 5 mile course includes more technical trail sections, additional turns and greater elevation gain. All distances pass the same aid stations, which provide cups of water, fuel and an electrolyte drink; the cups are 100% biodegradable. Aid stations will also have water bowls for dogs.

Participants receive an event shirt, finisher medal, race bib, free event photos and professional chip timing. Post-race food and drinks will be provided, and craft beer and pancakes are noted at the finish area. Parking can be limited; a parking pass is issued with race bibs and volunteers will assist parking. Bib pickup is available the day before at Runners Roost Fort Collins and on race morning. Photo ID is required for bib pickup per USATF rules and participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian present. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
