Timberview Trail Run at Lory State Park
The Timberview Trail Run is scheduled for June 26, 2027 at Lory State Park near Bellvue, Colorado. The event is the eighth annual running and is USATF sanctioned. Three trail distances are offered:
- 10 mile double loop of the 5 mile course
- 5 mile technical trail with greater elevation gain
- 5K easier, beginner friendly route
Courses run on natural dirt trails with views of Horsetooth Reservoir, Fort Collins, and the foothills. Routes are marked and volunteers are stationed on course, but athletes are responsible for knowing the course layout. Alternate wet weather routes are provided in case park trails are closed.
Aid stations serve cups of water, fuel, and electrolyte drink; cups are 100 percent biodegradable. All aid stations also provide water bowls for dogs. The event lists post-race food and craft beer at the finish line and notes pancakes will be served. The race is described as a 100 percent plant based event.
Practical details include venue address 708 N Co Rd 25G, Bellvue, CO, limited parking with a required parking pass (race bib can serve as a pass), and a parking restriction on the west side of Lodgepole Road. Bib pickup occurs at Runners Roost Fort Collins the Friday before the race and at the start area on race morning; a photo ID is required per USATF rules. Registration items include an event shirt, finisher medal, race bib, free event photos, post-race food and professional chip timing. Awards go to the top three overall male and female finishers in each distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
