Timberline Marathon – Negative Split

The Timberline Marathon is scheduled for June 5-6, 2027, at Timothy Lake, Oregon. The event offers two race distances:

  • Marathon
  • Half marathon

This is a trail race held in the Mt. Hood region of the Oregon Cascades. The course follows single track forest trails and includes rustic bridge crossings and viewpoints with views of Mt. Hood. An official Athlete Guide provides practical race-day information such as packet pickup location, the race schedule, and the race village location.

The event lists an official charity partner, Go The Distance (GTD), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works with local rehabilitation centers to advocate for recovery through fitness and community. The race operates under a special use permit with the Mt. Hood National Forest, USDA USFS. The event page also notes the presence of race sponsors, opportunities for volunteers in roles such as packet pickup and course monitoring, and availability of results and race photos from the event.
