Tiger Mountain Trail Run

Tiger Mountain Trail Run is a trail race held in Tiger Mountain State Forest near Issaquah, Washington. The event offers looped courses that start and finish at the trailhead on the east side of Tiger Mountain and use a variety of trails with terrain ranging from gently rolling to steep.

Distances offered:

  • 5k
  • 12.6k
  • Half Marathon (13.56 miles actual distance)

The 5k follows a single clockwise loop, out on a forest road and back on a rolling trail. The 12.6k follows much of the Half Marathon route before turning east along 5500 Road and Fully Rigid Trail to reconnect to the finish. The Half Marathon begins with a long climb on the Master Link Trail, continues on forest roads on the upper slopes, passes below the summit, then descends on mountain biking trails and returns via trails around the mountain eastern flank.

Aid stations provide water, Skratch Labs electrolyte drink, and a selection of carbohydrate or salty foods such as cookies, energy bar pieces, gels, chews, chips, bagel, fruity candy, fig bars, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Runners are advised to carry a bottle or hydration bladder, especially for longer distances.

Course statistics: 5.0k - 510 feet climb and no aid stations; 12.6k - 1300 feet climb and 1 aid station; Half Marathon - 2005 feet climb and 2 aid stations.

Online pre-registration closes June 4 at 11:59 pm. Day of registration is available onsite with payment by card, cash, or check payable to Northwest Trail Runs unless the event sells out. A $10 youth discount is applied automatically for elementary, middle, and high school runners.
