The Centerville Bank Thompson Turkey Trot takes place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the West Thompson Dam Overlook Shelter, 162 West Thompson Road, Thompson, CT 06255. The event is an annual cross country run and walk open to all ages; children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Costumes are encouraged. Proceeds support Thompson trails, Parks & Recreation, and the TEEG food pantry. Awards are given to the overall top male and female 5K finishers, the top three male and female runners in each age group, the team with the most members, and the school with the most members.
Events and registration
- 5K Trail Run - timed, chip timing used
- 3K Wobble - untimed walk, dogs welcome on leash
- Kids Fun Run - 1/4 mile, ages 12 and under, ribbon and race bib
The standard registration fee is $25 and includes a t-shirt if registration is completed on or before October 31, 2025. Registrations taken after that date do not include a t-shirt. Day-of registration is available for a higher fee and accepts cash or check. Online registration for the 5K and 3K closes November 8, 2025.
