Thirsty Thursday 5K

Thirsty Thursday 5K is a series of timed pub runs sponsored by Good News Brewing and Fleet Feet St. Louis. The series takes place one Thursday each month from April through October on the Katy Trail, launching from Good News Brewing in Defiance, Missouri, in the St. Louis area.

The event uses a professionally timed out and back 5K course with an open start line format to allow flexible arrival and low stress check-in. For 2026 the series adds no processing fees, a loyalty program, and age group divisions on the leaderboards.

All participants aged 21 and older receive a complimentary beer from Good News Brewing. Good News Brewing also offers extended bar hours and a pizza buffet available for purchase on site. Event registration includes options to purchase event swag during the registration process.
