Course and logistics

The 2026 course starts at Hyak, proceeds past Easton for about 20 miles, then returns to Hyak for a 40-mile lap. The surface is crushed limestone, total elevation gain is listed as 1,916 ft, and maximum grade is about 5% or less. The route includes the 2.3-mile Snoqualmie tunnel, which is dark and requires a light. The trail runs roughly parallel to I-90 and is accessible to crews at multiple locations. GPS coordinates are provided for several aid stations and the Hyak start/finish. Crews are allowed; cell signal is spotty and offline maps or GPX files are recommended.

Rules and policies

Cut-offs are 30 hours for the 100K and 100 Mile distances and 35 hours for the 200K. Pacers are allowed for all distances and may join at Hyak; pacers may be switched at aid stations. Mandatory gear includes a reusable cup, two-bottle system or hydration pack, 500 calories on the runner at all times, a headlamp or carry light, and a light jacket for overnight. The organizer states no refunds, deferrals, or transfers. Entry criteria for athletes with disabilities note tethers and prosthetics may be used, certain mobility devices require approval, and the course is not suitable for wheelchairs; AWD entrants must be able to finish within the 30-hour cutoff.
