The Golden 6 Hour

The Golden 6 Hour is a six hour trail running event scheduled for October 10, 2026. Entry is priced at $45 and the field is capped at 85 runners; the event listing notes it is sold out with a short waitlist. Entry benefits include a fall themed aid station, a raffle with a chance to win a Territory Run Co. hoody, an award for the most loops, and an award for the runner with the most "Golden" spirit.

The course uses the Swauk Forest Discovery Trail, a 2.45 mile single-track loop near the top of Blewett Pass that passes through varied woods and vegetation and offers mountain views. The loop includes close to 650 ft of elevation gain. The aid station is a fall-themed potluck with a sign-up sheet distributed about a month before the event; leftover food is given away or donated to the Food Bank.

A post race dinner option is offered at Flying Horseshoe Ranch; the planned menu includes Shepherd's Pie, salads, vegetable sides, rolls, and pies for dessert. Parking and trail access require a Northwest Forest Pass and parking is first come, first serve. Spectators are allowed but may be asked to park in the lower lot about 0.5 mile from the start/finish. Dogs are welcome at the start and finish area but are not allowed on course.

Organizers monitor weather and air quality and may relocate or alter the event if conditions such as fire, snow, or poor air quality arise. There are no refunds and no rollovers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
