The Golden 6 Hour

The Golden 6 Hour is a six-hour loop event held on October 10, 2026, on the Swauk Forest Discovery Trail near the top of Blewett Pass. The course uses a 2.45 mile single-track loop that passes through mixed woods, larches and offers mountain views. The loop has close to 650 ft of elevation gain.

Field size is limited to 85 runners and the base entry fee is $30. Entry includes a fall-themed aid station, a raffle with Territory Run Co. apparel prizes, and awards for the most loops completed and for the most “Golden” spirit. The aid station is organized as a potluck; food sign-ups occur in advance and leftover food will be distributed or donated to a food bank.

A post-race dinner option is available at Flying Horseshoe Ranch for an additional fee; the planned menu includes shepherd’s pie, salad, vegetable sides, rolls and pies. Parking and trail access use Forest Service facilities and parking is first-come, first-serve; a Northwest Forest Pass is required for entry. Spectators may attend but may be directed to a lower parking area about 0.5 mile from the start/finish; dogs are allowed at start/finish but not on course. There are no refunds or rollovers. If conditions such as fire, snow or poor air quality prevent running on course, organizers plan an alternative run and dinner option at Flying Horseshoe Ranch.
