The Wirral Summer Trail Series - June

The Wirral Summer Trail Series is a recurring running event held at Wirral Country Park. The June edition takes place on the third Tuesday of the month, starting from the Visitor Centre located on Station Road. This event is part of a larger five-part series running from April through August.

Participants compete on a trail course that remains consistent for each event in the series. The race distance is established at approximately 8 km. The competition is open to all runners who are at least 16 years of age on the day of the first race.

The event includes a competitive league structure with trophies awarded for the series as a whole. Awards are determined by evaluating an athlete's best performance across four out of the five scheduled races. Age categories for both male and female participants range from Under 18 and Under 20 to various veteran classes up to Over 70. Additionally, overall awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers.

Registration is available for individual races or as a discounted package for the entire five-race series. Participants who complete at least four of the five races are eligible to receive a commemorative T-shirt. Proceeds from the event support organizations such as Running Headfirst.
