The Whole Enchilada

The Whole Enchilada is a trail running event held at Trail Hub in Uxbridge, in Durham Region. The event uses an extensive network of forest trails and offers several race and participation options across varied terrain, including sections through Durham Forest, Walker Woods and Glen Major. The main course includes substantial elevation gain with steep climbs and technical descents.

Trail Hub is a 140-acre property with direct access to about 8 km of on-site trails and is surrounded by roughly 6,000 acres of multi-use forest with over 240 km of connected trails. Trail Hub also hosts events and has a farm-to-table restaurant called Nest. Green Newton Adventures organizes the race with a focus on environmental education and sustainable event practices.

Facilities include well-marked trails, stocked aid stations offering water, electrolytes and small food items, and onsite parking that is limited. The Hike Enchilada donates 50% of its registration fees to local environmental causes. The event operates as a cup free event and applies low-impact race practices and eco-friendly waste management.
