The Event
The Whole Enchilada is a trail running event held at the Trail Hub in Uxbridge, Ontario. The event offers multiple distances on the extensive trail networks of the Durham Region, known as Canada's trail capital. It is organized in partnership with Green Newton Adventures and emphasizes environmentally responsible practices.
The Courses
The courses journey through the landscapes of Durham Forest, Walker Woods, and Glen Major. They feature diverse terrain with significant elevation gains and technical sections. Several distances are offered:
- The Whole Enchilada: 50 km
- The Half Enchilada: 25 km
- The Mini Enchilada: 8 km
- The Hike Enchilada: 4 km (hike)
- The Kids' Enchilada: 4 km kids' timed race
- The Kids' Salsa: Free 1 km kids' fun run
Practical Information
All races start and finish at the Trail Hub, a family-owned 140-acre recreation space with direct trail access. On-site parking, washrooms, and a spectator area are available at the venue. The courses are well-marked and feature stocked aid stations. The event is cup-free, requiring participants to bring their own reusable cup or container. Dogs, headphones, strollers, and nordic walking poles are not permitted on the course. Race kit pickup is available on-site on race day. Awards and draw prizes are presented to participants.
