The Cider Run

The Cider Run is organized by Green Newton Adventures and takes place on September 19, 2026 at Slabtown Cider Co. and on private trails at Woodnewton Farm near Uxbridge, Ontario. Routes run through mixed forest on sections with gritty climbs and gently rolling recovery areas. Routes are on private property and maps will be published shortly before race day. Distances and maps are subject to change based on trail conditions.

Available distances:

  • 1K Kids Fun Run 100 percent of entry donated to Jumpstart
  • 3.5K Kids' Timed shorter but challenging route
  • 8K The Apple single loop
  • 16K The Peck double loop
  • 40K The Bushel five loops of the course
  • 3.5K The Sauce Hike hike with 50 percent of fee to trail restoration

Logistics and rules: on site parking is available but limited, car pooling encouraged; washrooms and outhouses at the start/finish; spectators best viewed from the start/finish area. Prohibited on course: dogs, headphones, strollers or baby joggers, and nordic walking poles. The event is cup free; participants must bring a reusable cup or bottle.

Registration notes: listed prices include 13% HST and an online processing fee. All fees are in Canadian dollars and credit cards are accepted. Awards are given to top three female, male and non binary finishers by age category and overall, and must be picked up at the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.

A 5 km obstacle event at Dagmar Ski Resort on August 29 and 30, 2026, with 25 plus obstacles, a foam zone using 2.5 million cubic feet of foam, a free Kids Fun Zone, live DJ and food vendors.

A trail event at Long Sault Conservation Area on October 17, 2026 featuring 2K kids, 7K, 14K, 21K and a six-hour loop event across two 7 km trails.

Spartan Race weekend at Brimacombe near Toronto offers a 5 km Sprint with 20 obstacles and a 10 km Super with 25 obstacles. The program also includes a kids race, a 4 hour Hurricane Heat, and spectator tickets.

A multi-distance trail event at Trail Hub in Uxbridge on June 19, 2027. Routes range up to 50 km through Durham Forest with on course aid stations, environmental measures and a portion of hike fees donated locally.
