The Cider Run : Slabtown Cider Co. and Woodnewton Farms
The Cider Run is a trail event organized by Green Newton Adventures on private property at Woodnewton Farms, hosted at Slabtown Cider Co. Routes run through mixed forest and rolling, gritty hills on the Oak Ridges Moraine. Course routes and maps will be published shortly before race day and may change based on trail conditions.
Race distances include:
- 1 K Kids Fun Run (100% of entry donated to Jumpstart)
- 3.5 K Kids' Timed Race
- 8 K The Apple
- 16 K The Peck
- 40 K The Bushel (5 loops)
- 3.5 K The Sauce Hike (50% of entry supports Woodnewton Farm Trail Restoration)
Registration fees include 13% HST and an online processing fee. All payments are in Canadian dollars and accepted payment methods include VISA, MasterCard, Amex, and Discover. For safety and course management, dogs, headphones, strollers or baby joggers, and nordic walking poles are not permitted on the course.
On-site parking and washroom facilities are available at the start/finish area; parking is limited and car pooling is encouraged. Slabtown Cider Co. will be open for post-race food and has limited seating. The event is cup free; participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle. Awards are presented on site to top three female, male, and non-binary finishers in each age category and are not mailed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
