Long Sault Trail Race & Ultra
The event takes place at Long Sault Conservation Area, Woodley Road, Bowmanville, ON, Canada. It offers multiple trail race formats organized on two 7 km all-trail loops.
Distances offered:
- 7K single 7 km trail loop
- 14K two different 7 km loops
- 21K three loops in total
- 6 Hour as many loops as possible in six hours, alternating loops
- 2K Kids a 2 km trail loop for children
The course consists of two distinct 7 km loops; distances combine those loops as listed. There is one aid station at the start and finish that provides water, lemon/lime Skratch, and snacks for longer-distance participants. Runners must be able to carry what they need to complete a 7 km loop before returning to the aid station. Participants in the 6 hour event must complete their final loop within the six hour window and may not start a loop they cannot finish in time.
Starts are staggered and distance fields are capped this year to accommodate limited on-site parking. Parking is charged per vehicle and a paid receipt must be shown at registration; the receipt can be obtained online in advance. Cotton hoodies are available for sale and proceeds will be donated to CLOCA. Prizes are awarded for first, second and masters places subject to registration numbers. Registration fees are nonrefundable; bib transfers and distance changes are allowed according to the organizer's stated deadlines. A race day manual is available on the Durham Trail Runners website. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
