The Trail Run at the Monkey Trails takes place on February 21, 2026, at Eddie D. Jones Park, 8400 Mike Clark Road, Keithville, LA 71047. The event offers three trail distances:
- 10 mile - trail course in Eddie D. Jones Park.
- 5 mile - trail course in Eddie D. Jones Park.
- 3 mile - trail course in Eddie D. Jones Park.
There is a three hour time limit for the 10 mile course. Times will not be recorded for participants who remain on the course after the three hour mark.
Course, awards and logistics
All courses use the maintained trails that wind through Eddie D. Jones Park. Awards are presented for all three distances: overall Male and Female, and 1st and 2nd Place Male and Female in these age groups: 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
Packet pick up is available at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, Shreveport, LA: Thursday, Feb. 19 (10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.), Friday, Feb. 20 (10:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.), and Saturday, Feb. 21 (6:45 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.). Unclaimed packets at the race start will be given to race staff and volunteers.
Refund policy: full refund if canceled more than 30 days before the race; 50% refund if canceled between 30 days and two weeks before the race; no refunds within two weeks of race day. Race entry transfers are allowed up to two weeks before the race for a $10 fee. A post-race gathering will include burgers and drinks. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
