The Skull Games Challenge

The Skull Games Challenge is an endurance trail event held at Lake Carl Blackwell in Stillwater, Oklahoma. It takes place alongside The Next Loop Endurance Series and utilizes a loop-based format on the local trail systems. Participants have the option to choose from two primary race formats:

• 25K distance
• 50K distance

The event incorporates optional challenge stations located between the loops. These tasks are categorized into physical efforts, tactical maneuvers, and mental problem-solving elements. Participants who choose to attempt these challenges are awarded time credit. Successful completion of a task results in additional time credits applied to the runner's overall performance.

This endurance experience focuses on a combination of trail running, strategy, and resilience. Runners can choose to focus exclusively on the trail run or integrate the challenge stations into their race strategy to balance physical grit with cognitive tasks. The course for the event is located at 11000 W Hwy 51. Registration for this trail event closes on the Friday immediately preceding the Saturday race.
