The Ranch 50K and Half Marathon
The Ranch 50K is a trail running event held at Daley Ranch in Escondido, California. The event features two primary distances and is a qualifier for the SoCal Ultra Series. The start and finish lines for all participants are located at the Dixon Lake Picnic Area.

The 50 km course consists of two 25 km loops. Each loop includes 3,159 feet (963 meters) of elevation gain, resulting in a total elevation gain of 6,318 feet (1,926 meters) for the full distance. Runners must adhere to specific cut-off times, including 4.75 hours for the first loop and a total of 9.5 hours for the entire race. Three fully stocked aid stations are positioned along the route at approximately 5.4 miles, 10.8 miles, and at the start/finish area.
The Half Marathon is a single-loop course featuring 2,706 feet (825 meters) of elevation gain. This distance has a 9-hour cut-off time. Similar to the longer race, participants have access to three aid stations located at 4.75 miles, 9.5 miles, and at the finish.
Event logistics include pre-race packet pickup, typically held at a local running shop the week before the race, with an option for morning pickup at the venue. There is no registration available on the day of the race. The event includes post-race catering, with recent years featuring meals provided by local meat markets and kitchenettes.
