Event

The Ranch 50K and Half Marathon take place on February 14, 2026 at Daley Ranch in Escondido, CA. The Start and Finish for both distances is at the Dixon Lake Picnic Area. The event is a qualifying race in the SoCal Ultra Series.

Course and logistics

Distances:

  • 50K - two 25K loops, 6,318 ft total elevation gain.
  • Half Marathon - single loop, 13.1 miles, 2,706 ft elevation gain.

The course uses a loop that returns to the Dixon Lake area. There are three fully stocked aid stations on the loop, including La Honda, Lilac Hill, and the Dixon Lake (start/finish) aid station. The 50K has two cut-off stages: 4.75 hours for the first loop and 9.5 hours overall. The half marathon has a 9 hour cut-off.

Race packet pickup is expected to be available the week before the race at Milestone Running (North Park location); on-site pickup is also permitted. Training runs will begin and end at the Daley Ranch gate near the Dixon Lake parking lot, with distances listed for planned runs of about 8 miles, 13.1 miles, and 15.5 miles. Registration opens September 1, 2025 and closes prior to the event.

Additional information
