The Tenth Annual Keepin' It Rural 5K/10K Trail Race and Festival takes place at the scenic Elfin Forest Recreational Reserve in north San Diego. This unique event features chip-timed races for both 5K and 10K runners, with a special course for hikers. The race begins and ends at the Olivenhain Dam, surrounded by diverse wildlife and beautiful trails.

Participants can also enjoy a post-race expo. The event supports local non-profits, including the Escondido Creek Conservancy. Team competitions are available for the 10K, encouraging camaraderie among participants.
